Favourites in the Passenger app are designed to help riders personalise their travel experience, making it simple to get the information they need including timetables and relevant travel alerts. However, riders previously faced a conflict: toggling a service off the live map on the Explore screen would automatically remove that service from their favourites. To give riders a more predictable and user-friendly experience, we are decoupling these two actions in our upcoming app update.
Starting from app version 118, toggling services on or off in the live buses dialogue will no longer affect a rider’s saved favourites. This means a passenger can temporarily clear a busy live map without losing their personalised travel alerts or making it harder to access their saved timetables.

Any routes a rider has favourited will now be pinned to the top of the list in the live buses dialogue, making it easy for them to toggle these key services on and off. This update has been designed to be seamless and will not alter any of your riders’ current live bus preferences.
This change will be released on Tuesday, 30th June 2026. If you have any questions or would like more information about how favourites work in your apps, please get in touch.
