We have made some quality-of-life improvements to the settings screen for app notifications.
As a reminder, app users can use the notification settings screen to opt-in to push notifications for when:
- They have a ticket with an entitlement of 3 days or more that is set to expire in 1 hour
- They need to reconnect to the internet within the next hour to keep any active tickets valid
The language used on this screen has been updated to make it much clearer that these relate specifically to push notifications. In addition, if we can detect the user has denied the app notification permissions we will provide a link to the operating system settings screen where the user can then allow notifications.
Finally, the notification settings screen is now only accessible to logged-in users because only users with active tickets can receive push notifications, which also requires an account.
