At our Product Update in January, we told you about plans to bring our powerful contextual disruptions capability to Journey Planner, completing the circle for passengers making journey plans, and communicating disruptions that might impact their travel. Today, we are pleased to announce that we are releasing that capability and bringing disruptions into journey plans.

As a passenger plans a journey, any relevant disruptions for the time of travel are now surfaced directly within the journey results. Each leg of a journey will indicate when one or more disruptions may affect that part of the journey. Interacting with this indication opens more detailed disruption information, allowing passengers to make the most informed decisions about their travel.
Only disruptions that are applicable at the time of the planned journey are shown (for example, a disruption that ends today will not appear for a journey planned for next week). Network-level alerts will be unaffected by this change and continue to appear in their existing locations.
This change will be released on Monday, 23rd February 2026. If you have any questions, please contact us.
