To provide clarity and simplicity on renewal times, subscriptions for tickets using the ‘end of day’ expiry strategy will now renew at the start of service time, rather than the same time the subscription was created.
This brings renewals in line with the expectations of subscription payments and removes the likelihood of a ticket being unavailable, should it be required prior to the original renewal time.
For example, if the service day ended at 3am, previously a daily ticket that had been purchased by a user at 8pm would receive their next ticket at 8pm the next day. This could result in the user not being able to travel between 3am and 8pm.
After this change, the renewal will be backdated to 3am on the service day of purchase, meaning they would receive their next ticket at 3am the following day.
This will be deployed within the next fortnight. If you have any questions at all, please get in touch.
