To improve the reliability and speed of scanning a ticket, we have improved the screen behaviour when displaying a ticket on mobile devices. This will ensure that the device is ready to be scanned when required.
There will be two specific changes in the next release:
- The brightness of the ticket screen will automatically set to 75%
- Devices will be prevented from sleeping when on the ticket screen
This is the result of in-field testing across a number of devices and screen brightnesses to find the optimum configuration for the fastest QR scanning.
When leaving the ticket screen, the device will reset to the previous brightness and sleep will be re-enabled.
These changes will take place over the next week.
