Following on from the addition of coverage maps recently, soon we are going to be including extra ticket information on the product list. This aims to make it easier for users to know which ticket is the correct one for their journey, before they buy it.
On the product list view, where a user selects a ticket to buy, we will be surfacing the following additional information:
- Where the ticket is valid
- Who can use the ticket
- How many tickets you are purchasing (in the case of carnet tickets)
- If the ticket has any special activation rules
The same treatment has been given to ‘recently purchased’ tickets.
Tickets that require verification now benefit from a brighter message too, helping users to notice this before making a purchase.
This update comes with an additional product checkout step that allows users to review the details of their selected product before checking out. Our aim is to give users a chance to double-check their ticket to make sure it’s the right one for their journey. This should reduce the small number of incorrect ticket purchases that need to be refunded by customer service staff – making everyone’s day a bit easier.
Finally, ticket coverage maps are now accessed directly from the product detail page instead of the checkout.
