Managing Enhanced Vehicle Information in Passenger Cloud

As many of you will already know, we have been busy rolling out the first phase of our Enhanced Vehicle Information, which helps users to know a little bit more about the bus or tram that’s on its way to them.

The ‘Network’ part of Passenger Cloud has now been updated to allow for the management of vehicle information. Admin users with access will automatically see this new option.

Vehicles are automatically detected from the Automatic Vehicle Location (or ‘Live Buses’) feed. Once they appear additional information can then be added to them or existing information changed. This remains the case when the vehicle is not present in the live feed. Passenger Cloud will remember the additional information you’ve added ready for when it makes itself known to the system again.

Vehicle information can be added to the system one by one or via a bulk import, by providing a CSV of fleet information to the Passenger team via our Help Desk. Once the data is successfully imported you can search for a specific vehicle, using any of the fields including its number plate or unique vehicle identifier.

We’ll be adding more and responding to some feedback you’ve given about a few of the field titles early next week.

If there are other fields you would like us to consider, please get in touch.
