Postcodes are now available to search for inside of apps and web widgets. This will help passengers find a location that they perhaps only have a postcode for.

You can also use postcodes on journey plans, to plan between any combination of a stop, place, locality, postcode, or a dropped pin.

Postcode datasets are normally supplied via a commercial license with the Post Office, at around £6k annually on average depending on the geographical area. This improvement to our search functionality has been developed by combining available open datasets, without needing to require customers to procure an additional data feed.

The update will be made immediately available to all customers.
