Passenger now supports vehicle (eg bus and tram) tracking from sources such as SIRI-VM. Passenger apps show this tracking information as live positions of vehicles on an interactive map. Vehicles are associated with their line and route, showing useful onward journey information, as well as providing more context to estimated arrival times.

This provides operators with the means to give richer real time passenger information to customers. We’ve seen that this information strengthens the passenger’s trust in not just the estimated times but also the service as a whole.
