Recent Travel Portal improvements

Since launching a refresh of the Travel Portal in April, we have continued improving the user experience for businesses using it to purchase and distribute bus travel. The improvements are described below and have also been summarised to Travel Portal users in the “What’s New” section, accessible from the navigation after logging in to the Travel Portal.

  • Businesses using Travel Portal can now export order details as a CSV so that it is easier to import into other systems. This is accessed by navigating to Purchase History, selecting an order, clicking the ‘Export as..’ button, and then selecting the ‘CSV file’ option. Order details can also be exported from the order confirmation page. The downloaded CSV will contain a row for every ticket in the order with the following information: name, email, reference, ticket name, and ticket price.
  • Editing list details now happens on a separate screen from the list to make more of the list immediately visible and remove the chance for list details to be changed accidentally.
  • When adding new rows to a list they are now added to the top of the list to make it quicker to select and populate those rows with a person’s details.
  • A buy tickets button has been added to lists to make it easier to buy tickets from lists.
  • The order confirmation screen has been updated to make it easier to quickly review the order that was just made and quickly move on to the next task, whether that is viewing purchase history, viewing lists, or making another order.
  • Purchase history pagination has been improved so that it is easy to quickly navigate to the exact page number by typing a number and hitting return, while retaining the ‘Previous’ and ‘Next’ buttons for browsing between pages.
  • Navigating back to the purchase history section from an order page will now take the user to the page last viewed rather than the first page of orders.
  • The search bar on Purchase history is no longer case-sensitive, making it easier to find orders quickly, and we have added the ability to change the number of orders displayed on a single page – businesses can choose to show 10, 25, 50, or 100 orders per page.

We will continue to communicate smaller changes directly to Travel Portal users using the “What’s New” section, with periodic summaries provided to operators through release notes. We will share the introduction of any significant new capability to Travel Portal directly to operators in individual release notes ahead of release.
