Changes to Travel Portal reporting in Passenger Cloud

We are going to release improvements to the two reports available in the Business Account section of Passenger Cloud, these are the Orders & Order Lines reports. This is to make it easier to see how different businesses are making use of the Travel Portal, improve reconciliation, and also demonstrate the value those businesses are getting from its use.

We are also making some changes so that the column names are more consistent with other reports available in Passenger Cloud so that it is easier to understand.

If you currently export the Orders or Order Lines reports from the Business Account section of Passenger Cloud this release might impact how you are using that data.

The following changes are going to be made to the Order Lines report:

  • We are going to create a new column ‘Order Id’ which will contain the ID for the relevant Order that each ticket is associated with. This will make it easier to cross-reference between the two reports.
  • The column ‘ticketId’ is going to be renamed ‘Product Id’ to better communicate what the data represents. The value in this column is the ticket product that has been sold.
  • We are going to add a new column ‘Ticket Id’ which will contain a unique ID of a specific ticket issued to users once redeemed. The values found in this column can be cross-referenced with ETM provider data to help you to determine ticket usage. This column will be empty if the gift code has not been redeemed. Please note that this data will only be available for orders created after this change has been released.
  • The date field is going to change format so that it is consistent with the Orders and Payments reports available elsewhere in Passenger Cloud. It is currently: “2022-11-09T12:59:18+00:00” and will become “09-11-2022 12:59:18”, the timezone will be UTC.
  • The ‘ticketPrice’ and ‘ticketDiscount’ fields will return values in GBP, not in pence so that these values are consistent with the values in the Orders and Payments reports.
  • Column headings will be adjusted to become more readable, e.g ‘ticketName’ will become ‘Ticket Name’.

The following change is going to be made to the Order report:

  • The ‘Created On’ column header will be updated to be ‘Created On (UTC)’ to be clear which timezone the times are reported in.

This change will be released on Tuesday, 6th December 2022.
