An active dataset can be identified by its CURRENT status. At the moment, for a dataset to become active, it must be
- Published
- Within its ‘effective period’.
- Have the most recent ‘created date‘ (the date it was uploaded to Drafts).
To give Dataset Managers more control over when datasets become active, we’ve made the following change. Now, the dataset with the most recently published date (that’s within its effective period) will be made active.
Published datasets will be ordered by their published date, to more clearly represent when they will become active.
This allows Dataset Managers to upload datasets to drafts in any order they please. Datasets should then be published in the order they will become active.
Please note: Any existing published dates have been updated to match created dates, so that existing datasets aren’t disrupted by the change.
